Mars in 39-days using new VASIMIR engine technology

This just sounds too good or far-fetched to be true. Anyway, saw it on Slashdot and here is the NewScientist article. The new technology, VASIMIR engine (nice diagram), is what makes is possible if it can be built and demonstrated.
