EPA invents battery-less hybrid system

I couldn't believe this when I read "EPA invents battery-less hybrid system" posted at CNNMoney. I wonder if we'll ever see this technology anytime soon? It would be nice and sounds like yet another alternative energy solution that we may never see.

This in interesting well over a year ago "IO" talked about the Air Car - a car powered by Compressed Air. It had been invented by a guy I thought in Australia or Great Brittain. Not sure if this is the same guy in the link at the bottom. Now I wonder if the EPA can avoid that patent problem because instead of air, they used hydraulic fluid. I wonder if this will wash in the courts.

See this url: http://www.theaircar.com/

Maybe it's because the company that owns the patent is either French or Spanish that the EPA went ahead with this.
